Knowing what is in your heart

Knowing what you want

If you don’t know what you want, then chances are that you are doing what someone else wants.

If it is difficult for you to uncover what you want, then you have removed yourself from your true feelings, or you have covered these feelings up. The consequence of not knowing what you want is that you become adrift and lose your direction, and this means that you are not moving towards your goals, dreams and needs.

Some people have great difficulty expressing their needs, wants and desires. They sometimes go for years in a relationship waiting for the other to change so that what they want from their partner will magically appear or become possible.

Life has an interesting way of manifesting our dreams and prayers. When we hide from what we want, what we want tends to be hidden from us. If we seek it out even through the tiniest steps, we tend to move towards our desires, or what we want moves closer to us. It depends on the direction we take, and whether that direction is aligned with our heart. When we know what is in our heart, then we know what we want, and we can truly welcome our dreams and what life reveals for us.

This chapter looks at the means to do just that. . .
